Patti uses a fantastic combination of hand drawn graphics overlaid with photographic repeats to create a fresh and contemporary collection of prints that respond particularly well to the Greenhouse Effect trend direction she received as a Premium subscriber.
Classic prints inspired by traditional knot gardens. Cyndi’s motifs are so well developed and structured with consideration of the space they inhabit, not to mention such confident use of a restricted yet timeless colour palette whose versatility would translate to a number of different surfaces.
Kate’s submission really made me think of the weirdness that might be hidden in a Stately Garden. The high contrast and mixed-up scale of Alice’s Wonderland; giant roses dwarfing a country manor in a memory from your childhood. Exciting experiments from Mrs M!
Susan took a clever isometric, 3D approach to this print and I love the comical bunny rabbits she added to an otherwise very regimented design. This humour makes the print usable in lots of contexts from fashion to giftware – I’d love to see what other animals Susan is able to sculpt on screen!
